Addy Grace the Fancy Face, A Toddler NOW!!- June 29, 2008

It happened today. I took my first steps. Istood up in the middle of the room and took two steps. Now I don't really see what all the hoopla is about. I cruise around all the time and use chairs and toys to push myself around. I have shifted from one toy to another without holding on, but itoday I was standing in the middle of my playroom and took a two steps. Mama was really excited and Grammy saw it too. My steps came at 12:18pm.

Swimming Makes Me Scream!!! YIPPEE!!

I just love to swim. I went swimming everyday this week!! I had two swim parties and went to the sprayground twice!! Super fun!! Even though I swim a lot I am still really pale thanks for all of my sun screen.

I got a new floaty for when my friends come to swim with me and it is a car. The horn actually honks. Mama says I look like the Flintstones the way my feet propel my car! See me with Mama and Dada. I like to peek out the window of my car.

I made a new friend this weekend. His name is Aaron and he is almost three years old. He and his brother, Landon (6 months), came over to my swim party this weekend. He and I went for a ride on my plasma car. His Dada and my Dada used to work together. We met one other time when I was only 2 months new.

Play Therapy?

Play Therapy!?! That is what my Mama's job is? That is what she studied and studied for years and years? I could teach her all about it for only about 100 thousand times what she paid for her graduate degrees. She took me to see a possible future office. Can you believe she would go to spend her day playing with other kids with special toys? Does that seem suspisious to you... you konw like cheating?

I also found out a secret about Dada's work. Did you know he works in a balloon factory!!!! I went to see him at work on Monday and there was a HUGE table in a BIG room full of BALLOONS!! It was full of pink stuffed animals and had a bathtub like mine at home filled with the same bath toys I have. There were cupcakes and pizza... I thought Dada had a hard job, but apparently, it is just a big party- Mama called it a shower? I did get to see Miss Karen, but Baby Abigail wasn't there. I thought is was rude because everyone told me the balloons were for her. I took some because who knows when Baby Abigail will need them...

Crime Scene Investigation

I was involved in a crime. However, at the time I was not aware a crime was underway....

I'm still not entirely sure, so Mama made me post this so that I'd realize the crime when I grow older. Mama did some serious investigating and evidence collection. I think she learned it from Dada. There are some things on this blog that are probably not for eyes of the "general viewing public". This is probably one, but some stories need to be told. Learn from my Mama.... plug your nose while you read on...

So, I was just laying in my crib after swimming. Mama thought I needed a nap, but I disagreed. I decided just to have quiet play time for a while. Apparently, Mama was downstairs right by the video monitor, but somethings happen when you "turn away only for a second"!! See my dirty hands.....

So here is the beforemath. I think those little brown finger prints look just like Baby Woobie's, but Baby Woobie thinks they look just like Big Woobie's, and Big Woobie pointed her finger at me!! Who knew woobies couldn't keep secrets. I mean they don't even have mouths!! But then, my bad.... they don't have fingers either!!

So, here I am... all "innocent" I still don't really see the crime. You might-(it's there behind me on my sheets, crib, aquarium and wall- but not on my face or near my mouth- that IS gross) hope you aren't grossed out. Luckily, Mama took the blame. She said she knew better than to put me down for a nap without shorts or bloomers on. I showed her I know how to take my diaper off 2 weeks ago!! How quickly she forgot.

Yo Yo Yo!! Yo Baby Yo!!

I decided Dada tries so hard I'd wear his hat for all of thirty seconds. He was so thrilled. Then I reminded him that hats are for dada's!! Sometimes he is a silly forgetful dada. I think Mama got a great action shot! Don't you?

Ba Ba Ba Ba Balloons!!

I love Balloons!! When I say love... I mean cheerish, adore, go absolutely wild over!! BALLOONS!! They come

in all kinds of shapes and colors. I saw my first one way back in December and fell in love. At Will's Valentine's Day party we all got one, but I crawled around with the whole bouquet while I played. Dada brought some home to me when I was sick June 3rd, but even the balloons weren't enough to take away all the pain of my sore throat. At my birthday party the balloons were my favorite part (well, the cake was pretty awesome too). I even got one shapped like a sun! I love that they float up in the sky. Don't worry I hold on tight so they only fly right up to my head. I've been known to steal them from old ladies birthday parties at Breadwinners, take them with me to Target and Mother's Day Out, and hold them while I eat my breakfast, lunch and dinner! I just love Balloons!!

My first time in a shopping cart at Wal-Mart on September 26. Studying my first seashell in PopPop's truck in New Smyrna Beach April 21. At my first birthday party- Miller's January 19!!

Day of Dada- June 15, 2008

We were on our way to feed the Duck Ducks, but it was a really hot day and humid too. So, Dada stopped to feed and water me instead. Such a nice Dada!!

Waiting My Turn! June 9, 2008

For my first ever SWIMMING LESSON!! I couldn't wait to get in the water. I thought it was poor planning that Mama forgot my raft and then I learned I was there to work. I kicker kickered and jumped in and rode a slide into the water. It was really fun. My teacher is Mr. Ryan and the other boy in my class is 15 months new like me. His name is Jace. Of course there is a boy in my class... I know so few girls- that makes Kate and Lucy all the more special!
So as you can see in the picture, I got there early and had to wait. Do you ever have to wait? Have you ever seen a 15 month newer wait? It is a big challenge. I have to do it every day: for Mama in the morning and at meal time and at bath time and naptime and when she sees something she likes at the store. Basically I widdle my time away waiting for her. She says when I am a teenager the roles will reverse- whatever that means!! :)

15 Months New- June 6, 2008

So, the saga continues... For my 15 months new I was recovering from being sick. I got hot to the touch during this illness. I reached over 105 degrees!! WOW!! For my 15 months new I had a surprise visit from Grammy and Aunt Diz and Diz's boyfriend Robbie. We played and played- when I wasn't sleeping or eating!! :) I played with some balloons Dada got me to help with my recovery! I love balloons!

My stats at 15 months:

Weight 18.1 (under 3 percentile- just because I am sick- no worries- I'll put it back on quickly)

Length 31.5 inches 75 percentile

Head 50th percentile

A New Friend

I have a new friend named Ryan. He is exactly one month older than me. We live in the same neighborhood and went to the park with our mamas over the weekend. I wore my special sun hat to shade my eyes and soft, baby white skin! Ryan thought it was cute how much I loved to swing and giggle! See him point at me and me stick my tongue out!!
