Back to School!- August 23, 2011

I started my new school this week. I get to wear the same thing everyday. It's a uniform or sometimes I just call it a costume! :-)

I love my teachers and my new friends already. My classroom is the coolest room ever and has a reading loft upstairs! I'm going to learn so much!!

Alaska- August 9-16, 2011

I visited my 23rd state this summer. Alaska! See some of the beautiful things we saw. I think the Whale watching was my favorite! Do you see the mommy swimming with her baby?

It sure was nice to escape the Texas heat!

Mickey Boat!! You're a Character!! August 9-16, 2011

It's already being called, "The Trip of a Lifetime" or "The Perfect Vacation" or "BETTER THAN DISNEY WORLD!"

We loved the Mickey Boat. We went to great places in Alaska. We saw whales and glaciers and seals and porposes. We saw Disney shows (I even got to be a drawf in one and hold Snow White's hand) and movies and ate ice cream everyday! We danced with the characters and had a character breakfast too! Scarlett clapped when she met Belle, but may have been a little overwhelmed during the character breakfast- I did my best to comfort her.

Kicking off Family Vacation in Vancouver- August 7-9, 2011

We started our trip in Vancouver, Canada where we went to the Aquarium and to Stanely Park. We ran into some Dallas friends and spent the day with Ms. Heather and Molly. A nice surprise. Mommy remembered to pack our Aquarium dresses.

So, let me back up, we were on the trip with Ney, Ney Mommy, Aunt Diz and Uncle Robbie, Grammy, Mommy, Daddy, Baby Starwitt and ME!!

After two nights in Vancouver we woke up on Tuesday morning to find the Mickey Boat parked outside our hotel window!!

Sleeping Baby

Yes, I do sleep. I just don't sleep when and where the other members of my family prefer. Honestly, I think Mommy enjoys our cuddle time. She does grumble something about me being a bed hog or a starfish. She says vacations are nice as we get to share a king, at least a queen, apparently they are much bigger beds than our tiny twin. I still like to nurse 3-4 times a night. I know I am 10 months old, but I also know that a girl's gotta eat and I am too busy playing all day. Well, I do somehow find time to eat every 3-4 four hours during the day too. Hmmm now that you put it that way... I don't really have any excuse for night feeding except, well, the best reason... because I want to!!

And well, during the day I think naps should be taken in the arms of someone who loves me. So, you might be beginning to understand just why this blog has been so neglected!

My most embarrassing photo is when I fell asleep standing up in my crib. It was a moment of weakness. I used to actually sleep some in my crib, but I've mostly given that up. I mean that's a lonely place to sleep.

Favorite Summer Pictures

We had a fun and busy summer. I took dance classes and swimming lessons. I played lots of dress up and had lots of friends over to swim. On August 21 I decided I didn't need my floaties in the pool any more. On August 25 I swam down to the bottom of the pool to rescue my Princess dive sticks. I am a real swimmer now. Dance Rectial- June 4, 2011

Addyson's first dance recital. She had two performances in a beautiful red costume. Her ballet song was "Believe" from Barbie's movie and her tap song was "We Belong Together" from Toy Story 3. She had such a special night. Grammy came for the event. Olivia was in the performance too. She wore a blue costume.

As soon as Addyson saw the stage the day of her rehersal, she said, "I want to do that".
