Day of Daddy

Being a new baby is pretty cool. You get to be the 'reason for the season' for a Day of Mommy & a Day of Daddy! Infact you make mommies and daddies out of previously ordinary people. Day of Daddy was spent hanging out together. I gave Daddy a lot of pictures of me framed for his office. He says it helps his days be sunnier. See how much I love Daddy- I can't take my eyes off of him!

I have been keeping busy with Gymboree and time spent with Mommy. See Mommy and me play at Gymboree.

I even had my first road trip to Texarkana for April and Tom's wedding. It was a fun time. See pictures of me with the pretty bride.

3 Months New- June 6, 2007

It's been a while, but I can explain. You see, I turned 3 months new. It took lots of preparation. I had to eat more to fuel my most recent growth spurt. Then I had to try on different pjs because Texas, my state, is hot in June. I now wear the same outfit as Daddy- see us in our white t-shirts. Mommy just bought me some new girly pjs yesterday. Then I had to convince Mommy that my 0-3 outfits were out of style (she couldn't deal with the thought that I outgrew them so I was forced to appeal to her fashion sense- thank goodness she is a fan of What Not To Wear).

Daddy came home early on my 3 month new birthday. We celebrated at Gloria's at 5:02!! See me in three of my favorite 3-6 outfits.

Debuting the Hat

Hats are so in for baby girls. I have lots and lots thanks to Mommy & Auntie Jan. This is a picture of me in one for the first time. Right now is called a long weekend. That means Mommy & Daddy get to spend more time with me. We went to a baby party today at Little Gym- the babies from my nursery school were there. I was the babiest baby, but I enjoyed watching all the bigger babies roll over and crawl and walk... I will do those things really soon.

Right now I am busy working on grabbing things, taking a bottle (not really, but I am supposed to be), taking a scheduled nap (I do take scheduled naps, but apparently I am supposed to take them on Mommy's schedule and at the same time everyday).

Bottles- a new way to eat

I struggle with bottles. It doesn't seem right to get a bottle when I have my Mommy. Grammy and I worked hard to get me used to the rubber mommy. I don't like it as much, but it seems Mommy sometimes goes places I can't go. I don't understand why, but apparently that is just something that mommies do. Does your mommy go places without you too?

Happy Day of Mommy

We had a Mommy Day today. I think your mommy did too. We took my Mommy and Grammy to brunch. Funny thing- only big people eat out. I think eating at home is best.

Grammy is in town because Daddy had to go out of town & that makes Mommy sad. I tell Mommy not to worry- I will keep her busy!!

Growing Up Baby- May 6, 2007

This was a busy week. I went for my 2 month new appointment with the pretty doctor lady Mommy picked for me. I really like her, but she has an evil, evil nurse who tortures babies. Mommy told me she would always keep me safe and work to keep me from being hurt, but while we rode around in her big motorized stroller with air conditioning, she kept telling me I would get a short term hurt to avoid long term hurts. Seems pretty advanced logic for a 2 month new baby doesn't it? Apparently what she meant is that I was going to get 5 stickums to avoid getting nasty sick that people don't even get now days- much less know how to pronounce. Worse yet, I didn't get a sticker or a lollipop. The bigger kids did. :(

Remember how I told you I have been busy growing? Well, I am now 23 1/2 inches long and 11 pounds, 11 ounces!! I am 75% in weight and 90th in height. Basically I am really, really tall. I am moving into my 3-6 month sleepers because my little toes need more space. If you saw me at first- you wouldn't recognize me now.

Hanging Out

Well, I turn two months new tomorrow. I have been hanging out on my playmat and in my swing. Mommy and I have had some outings this week like my first trip to Target and the mall and Harold's. Mommy says I have an eye for fashion, but I prefer time at home best! Daddy is excited that Mommy can't spend as much money shopping as before because I have a very limited shopping attention span. ;) Can you say "Daddy's Girl?".
