Day of Mama- The story of the 8th Duckling

Once upon a Day of Mama, Baby Addyson went to the duck pond. She went to go see her 2nd favorite Mama- Mrs. Mama Duck. Mrs. Mama Duck had 14 babies, but 7 of her babies became independent at an early age and moved to Minnesota- so only 7 remain "living" with Mrs. Mama Duck at Duck pond on Voss. Baby Addyson's Mama says sometimes the Ducks fly north for the summer to stay cool. Guess some of Mrs. Mama Duck's babies did that. Baby Addyson crawled off with Mrs. Mama Duck and her ducklings: Little Yellow duck, Little Black duck, Spotty, Polka, Dot, Webfeet and Bill.

She was all set to take swimming lessons with them when the Secret Service intervened. So, after all the work attempting to waddle and quack like a duck- Baby Addyson returned to hug her Mama and her own little Ducky Ducky Quack Quack.

14 Months New- May 6, 2008

Hmmm, so this is what it feels like to be 14 months new. I must say I expected more... I feel like I did when I was 12 months new.... that is sick. Yes, I've been sick for a week. Ick. I have a sore throat, but not strep. Basically when Baby Addyson is sick she doesn't play, she wears pajamas all day, cuddles with Mama and sleeps lots. I did read lots of books- Mama says that is a good quite activity for a sick baby like me. See me read my favorite book, "Good Night Gorilla."

Unfortunately, I was well enough for playgroup, but then found out I wasn't really well... so be it from me or other germs- Michael, Will, Kate, and McKenzie all got sick this week too. Hang tough Carter!! Also, Dada is sick today. Mama must have some kind of tough immune system. Hang tough Mama too!

Playgroup- April 29, 2008

Here are some pictures from our playdate. You can see my friends Gracie, Kate, Michael, and Carter. We played at Carter's house. My friends Kate and Gracie keep ribbons in their hair. I'm trying to convince them to go natural! I know several of you think I need a haircut. Mama is waiting for my bangs to grow some more, but I'm not interested in barrettes so we've hit an awkward stage!! The first of many so I hear.

Miller and Me

We played on Monday. Our friends Eliana and Faith came in the morning, but Miller stayed all day. We went on a walk to see the ducks and river rats (ick). There are 3 families of baby ducks. Those little ducks are fluffy and puffy. They follow their mamas everywhere just like me!! We both took naps- then he came to wake me up in my bed! I bounced up and down with joy- Miller jumped like a big boy then he gave me a big hug!

Messy Baby

Two very messy things happened to me this week. To say they "happened to me" is inaccurate- I actually did them myself. I got pasta sauce all over me one day!! Mama says I look like I used a bad self tanner- whatever that is. I only got it on my face and forarms.

Then I spilled a bowl of water all over myself and then slipped in it. Mama thought it was funny so she grabbed the camera as I slid around! It was pretty fun- but very surprising!! Obviously I've had an opportunity to wear lots of my clothes lately!!

Mi Cocina!!

My Kitchen is a fun place to play. See what I found in a cabinet just for me!! Lots of fun toys to play with. I fit right inside so I can see everything. I grabbed a few of my favorites- and ooops I lost my balance (don't worry the mess broke my fall)!! You look silly with that bowl on my head!!

Woobie and Me go 1...2...3... WHEEEE!!!!

Mama took Woobie and me to the park to ride the swing. It was super fun!! Woobie couldn't get enough! You should have heard her giggle and scream "more, more, higher, higher"- oh wait... Mama says that was me!! ;)
