The Sunsets on a Great Trip!- April 21, 2008

My last night in Florida I went to the park to say bye bye to the swings. You can see the sun in the background saying bye bye to me. The sun goes to sleep at night and makes the moon go onto duty. This park is right by Grandma and PopPop's house. I have many fun memories and know I will visit it big bunches for years and years.

My Personal Swing!

I love to swing. Grandma and PopPop saw me swing at Kate's birthday party and saw me smile soooo big. So, Grandma and PopPop surprised me by buying me my very own!! I love to swing so much. It is really, really fun to swing. PopPop loved pushing me. I'm very thankful for my swing and all my Florida memories!!

My Party- April 20, 2008

Grandma and PopPop had a party for me. Grandma made THREE quiches for me because quiche is one of my favorite foods (she also made Mama, Dada and I a Mexican night because I love guacamole and refried beans). My Disney Aunt Jeni came over to the party and all of Grandma and PopPop's friends. Including Miss Louise's mom Grammy. She is 97 and she made me a special quilt! Miss Sue gave me colors and paper so I made my first picture ever!! Mr. Andre brought me a balloon- he must have learned they are my favorite things! What a very fun day! Thanks Grandma and PopPop!

Grandma and PopPop

These are just some of my favorite memories with two of my favorite people. They both love me so much and I love them more than words!! We went to a Florida State Park in DeLeon Springs and made pancakes at our table. I played and played in PopPop's garden. He is in the Garden Club and we went to a picnic with all of his Garden Club Friends- one of his is 99 years - now that is old!! We also went to the park a lot- you can see how PopPop checked out the slide to make sure it was good for me to have fun on too!! Grandma and PoPPop took me on lots of walks. They are very encouraging and patient with me. I love them!

Addy at the Beach- April 15-22, 2008

I went to New Symrna Beach to visit Grandma and PopPop! I was really busy there. You'll see lots of posts from my trip. Here are some favorite beach shots! The ocean is amazing and the water so refreshing. I drug Dada and Mama into it as far as I could, but they thought the water was cold. It wasn't cold to me- I say babies are tough!

The Tale of Sleepy Trees- April 10, 2008

Once upon a time, there was a little girl. She was sweet and kind, thoughtful and considerate and most certainly beautiful of mind and spirit. She noticed that all the trees in her kingdom stood tall and strong each day. They shielded her from the bright, bold sunshine so she wouldn't turn red and feel hot and sticky on her walks in her carriage. She thought it sad that the trees worked so hard and never rested. She worried that they needed a nap like she often did. Then one night she learned why trees don't "lay me down to sleep"...

The trees finally felt sleepy- so they called upon Mr. Wind to help them lie down to rest. You see they were too tall and strong to lie down on their own. That night Mr. Wind, who is most cranky when he has to work when it is dark and all in the kingdom are sleeping, was very angry at his disruption. He was not a gentle Mr. Wind. He came through and selectively put some trees on their sides, but the trees were pushed too hard.

The next morning as the little girl strolled through her kingdom... she saw with wonderment what great strenth Mr. Wind has. She noticed that manyof the tall, tall trees were napping. As she listened to the working trees who still stood tall- creating her shady path- she realized the fate of the lazy sleeping trees..... FIREWOOD and she vowed then and there to never be too lazy & always turn her homework in on time!!

My first story- hope you liked it. The names were changed for safe keeping!! ;)

P.S. The first picture is of a chimney that fell off the roof. Our house is fine. Dada and I slept right through it. Mama says we were without power for 4 and 1/2 hours so she couldn't watch me sleep on Addyson tv!

Mommy's Helper

Mama is busy cleaning out my closet and baby stuff. Some of my baby baby clothes are packed away for my dolls. I think my dolls will look great don't you? Today I helped Mama by cleaning out her diaper bag. I found this cute litte ducky with a blue plastic in it- so... I let the ducky free by unwrapping it!! I've seen Mama put my yucky diapers in it- kinda like my neigbor uses when she takes her woof woof for a walk. Mama was working on setting up her new Addyson picture maker while I did all the cleaning! These are pictures she took of me with it!! :)
